Aluminum foil is a kind of metal material, but aluminum foil material has non-magnetic characteristics and is commonly used in the shielding layer of wire and cable, commonly known as aluminum foil mylar tape. Aluminum foil mylar is widely used in cable filling and has an important position. It does not generate eddy currents and can reduce the loss of the line, even if there is a three-phase unbalanced current.

Aluminum foil mylar is used for interference shielding of multi-conductor control wires such as electronic wires, computer wires, signal wires, coaxial cables, cable TV wires or local area network cables. A shielding film, used in the electronics industry more, to play a role in shielding interference, commonly used is a single-sided blue aluminum foil mylar, as far as I know commonly used in the electronic wire wrapped skin to play the role of anti-interference.

Aluminum foil mylar in the wire and cable is not only to play the role of shielding, but also to increase the extension performance of the cable, increase the flexibility of the cable, the bending performance of the cable can be greatly improved, the rebound performance is also a great improvement.

Principle:

Aluminum foil is mainly used to shield high-frequency electromagnetic waves, to prevent high-frequency electromagnetic waves and network cable conductor contact and thus generate induced currents, increasing crosstalk. When high-frequency electromagnetic waves come into contact with the aluminum foil, according to Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, electromagnetic waves will tend to attach to the surface of the aluminum foil and generate induced currents. At this point, a conductor is needed to channel the induced current to earth to avoid interference of the induced current to the transmitted signal. The use of aluminum foil as a shielding layer of the network cable generally requires that the repeat rate of aluminum foil can not be less than 20%.

Applications of different aluminum foil materials:

1. Single cable aluminum mylar, double-sided cable aluminum mylar, conductive cable aluminum mylar, aluminum tape: applied to the interference masking of multi-conductor control wire, such as electronic wire, computer wire, signal wire, coaxial cable, cable TV wire or local area network cable.

2. Hot melt cable aluminum mylar, self-adhesive cable aluminum mylar, aluminum tape: applied to multi-conductor control wire interference masking, such as signal wire, coaxial cable, cable TV wire, Series ATA row wire or local area network cable.

3. free edge aluminum mylar: applied to twisted pair, composite wire, and other multi-conductor wire interference masking, such as control wire, computer wire and signal transmission wire, etc., is the necessary material for DVI, HDMI, RGB and other high-frequency wire, and has the patent technology.

4. Pure aluminum sheet, aluminum tape, aluminum coil, aluminum foil, conductive cable aluminum mylar: applied to electronic EMI interference shielding, such as computer PC board and other precision components shielding.

5. Aluminum foil, aluminum mylar, cable aluminum mylar, aluminum tape, conductive aluminum tape: applied to the interference masking of multi-conductor control cables, usually used to supplement the shielding of cable aluminum mylar, so that the shielding effect is more excellent, mainly transparent mylar and black mylar.
