Duct Accessories: Hose Clamp

原图2

Hose clamps are designed to secure the hose to a fitting (such as a faucet or barb) and are used as seals to prevent fluid leakage at the connection. They can also stabilize the hose connection. They are primarily used in the pipeline and automotive industries, but are also used in other applications and to prevent leaks during the transport of liquids, chemicals and gases. Such as cars, tractors, forklifts, locomotives, ships, mining, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural and other kinds of water, oil, steam, dust, etc., is the ideal connection fastener. Throat clamps things are relatively small, the value is also very small, but the role of throat clamps is huge. American-style throat clamps, also known as clamps. American stainless steel throat clamps: divided into small American-style throat clamps and large American-style throat clamps, throat clamps with a bandwidth of 12.7mm and 14.2mm, respectively. using the perforation process, throat clamps are widely applicable, torsional and pressure resistance, throat clamps torsional torque balance, locking firm, tight, large adjustment range, suitable for more than 30mm of soft and hard pipe connection fasteners, beautiful appearance after assembly. Features: worm friction is small, suitable for medium and high-grade models, holding rod-type equipment, steel and rubber pipes or anti-corrosion material parts connection.

There are three main types of hose clamps:

1. Plastic hose clamps

Ratchet teeth interlock to provide a firm, secure fit. These can be installed quickly by hand and squeezed with pliers to tighten the handle. These hose clamps, sometimes called snap clamps, snapper clamps or herbie clamps, are made of plastic. Nylon is a good choice because it provides flexibility while closing more easily. Economical, lightweight and reusable.

Applications and Industries:

  • Specialty vehicle and automotive fuel lines, airlines, drain lines
  • Pumps and hydraulic systems in medical equipment (should not be used in other hydraulic applications)
  • White goods, ventilation systems and garden hoses

2. Worm Drive Hose Clamps

They have a screw threaded screw or worm gear mounted in the clamp. When the screw turns, it pulls the threads of the strap like a worm drive. The strap then tightens around the hose or tube. The high clamping force makes this a heavy-duty anniversary clamp. Available in stainless steel or steel hose clamps for situations where space is limited or difficult to reach. Not recommended for soft hose or silicone hose.

Applications and Industries:

  • Steel wire reinforced hoses
  • Automotive fuel lines and exhaust hoses
  • Plumbing – sealing hoses, water lines and marine sink outlets
  • Signage, temporary repairs, sealing large containers

3. T-bolt hose clamp

Designed to provide a safe, gas-tight seal in larger diameter applications where high vibration occurs. Clamp bolts through the holes in the hose clamp body. Then tighten the nut from below with a wrench or pliers. As stainless steel hose clamps, T-bolts are ideal for use as clamps for high pressure hoses and can be used with silicone hoses.

Applications and Industries:

Specialty vehicles and automobiles

  • Maintaining gas line pressure when the engine is off
  • Gas lines cut too short or fittings need to be added
  • Fixing bleed valves or safety valves in gas lines to place tanks at specific pressures

Sealing water lines when using hoses and pipes Example.

  • Swimming pool plumbing
  • Aquaponics systems
  • Hydroponic systems
  • Drip irrigation
