The adhesive of aluminum foil tape

原图1

What is aluminum foil tape?

Aluminum foil tape is based on high-strength aluminum foil, coated with high-viscosity, high-stability pressure-sensitive glue. The aluminum foil tape is used for the seam bonding of all aluminum foil composite materials, the sealing of the puncture point of the insulation nail and the repair of the damaged part. It is the main raw and auxiliary materials for refrigerators and freezers production plants, and it is also a necessary raw material for the distribution department of insulation materials. Widely used in refrigerators, air conditioning, automobiles, petrochemicals, bridges, hotels, electronics and other industries.

The adhesive of aluminum foil tape:

1) Solvent based acrylic

Oily coating glue is made by dissolving acrylic or polyurethane with oily solvent (toluene, DMF, methyl ethyl ketone, etc.) as the solvent.

Advantages:

Using organic solvents as solvents, short curing time, low energy consumption, good water resistance, wide drying rate and open time, resulting in high initial adhesion strength or viscosity, and the bonding strength of difficult-to-stick materials with low polarity is better than water glue.

Disadvantages:

It is not environmentally friendly, and the solvent is volatile. The lower the solid content, the greater the smell of the glue. The glue itself is flammable, and the smell is easy to irritate the respiratory tract. Some organic solvents have certain toxicity (such as benzene, toluene, xylene, Cause serious damage,). After the non-porous dense material is coated with glue, wait for the solvent to evaporate completely before bonding, otherwise it is easy to foam.

Construction characteristics:

It has a wide range of viscosity, which can be sprayed, rolled, or scraped. The construction environment needs to strictly control safety factors such as ventilation and open flames. Machines and equipment should be cleaned with organic solvents in time after use. Therefore, the factory should be far away from residential areas.

2)Water based acrylic

Water-based coating glue is made by emulsifying acrylic or polyurethane resin through special emulsifying equipment with water as solvent.

Advantages:

Use water as solvent, cheap, environmentally friendly, generally non-toxic and odorless, and the glue itself is non-flammable. The solid content range is wide, the viscosity range is wide, and high concentrations of high scores can be used.

Sub-weight materials, can control the penetration and wettability, some water glue can achieve good water resistance and bonding strength.

Disadvantages:

The curing time is long, the curing time can be shortened by the heating of the drying cylinder, the water resistance is weak (curing agent can be added to improve), the initial tack is not good, the bonding strength of the difficult-to-stick materials with small polarity is not ideal, and it will freeze at low temperature, causing The fabric shrinks, causing the paper to wrinkle or curl, and it will be contaminated by some metal utensils, corrode some metals, dry slowly, and have poor electrical properties.

Construction characteristics:

It has a wide range of viscosity, which can be sprayed, rolled, or scraped. The construction environment is good, and the equipment can be cleaned directly with water.

3) Hot melt adhesive

Hot melt adhesive is a kind of solid meltable polymer that does not need solvent and does not contain 100% moisture; it is a solid at room temperature, and it becomes a fluid and viscous liquid when it is heated and melted to a certain temperature. The melted EVA hot melt adhesive is light brown or white. EVA hot melt adhesive is composed of basic resin, tackifier, viscosity regulator and antioxidant.

Advantages:

The cost of packaging and shipping per unit material is low, does not freeze, does not require drying and drying equipment, is easy to bond impermeable surfaces, quickly produces bonding strength, has good storage stability, continuous film, water resistance, and water vapor impermeability .

Disadvantages:

Special application equipment is required. The viscosity and temperature limitations make the strength limited, and it will decompose under continuous heating. The glue amount controllability is poor, and the adherend may need to be preheated, resulting in high energy consumption.

Construction characteristics:

There are powder, granular, block, rod, and film in the state, so there are various ways of sizing, which can be sprayed, roller coated, glued, spread, which requires high equipment and is inconvenient to change the process.
