As one of the commonly used materials in flexible packaging, aluminum foil has its unique characteristics and advantages. Here we will introduce the processing of aluminum foil.
Simple processing of aluminum foil:
The aluminum foil blank is cold-rolled aluminum coil with a thickness of 0.4-0.7mm, and a high multiple deformation rate. Firstly, the aluminum foil blank is quenched IN advance at 240-480℃, and then sent into the roller press. The steel roller with high hardness and high finish is rolled into sheets after rough rolling, medium rolling and fine rolling, and finally the aluminum foil is formed after quenching treatment. The thickness of aluminum foil can be controlled by adjusting the tension, the rolling force of rough rolling and the speed of finishing rolling.
During fine rolling, the thickness of foil decreases with increasing rolling speed. The greater the tension, the smaller the thickness. A minimum thickness of 0.0025mm with a width of 1800mm can be produced by the belt production method. This kind of aluminum foil without other processing is called light foil or plain foil. The light foil bearing capacity is poor, rarely used alone, generally according to different uses, to deep processing of light foil, made of more advanced packaging materials.
Deep processing of aluminum foil mainly includes:
Composite
Compositing aluminum foil and plastic film, paper, cellophane with adhesive bonding or PE coating, to form the composite film with variety of uses.
Coloring
Aluminum foil can be colored on the coloring machine, with its own metal luster, forming a unique luster color, to improve its decorative performance.
Printing
Aluminum foil can be printed directly or after coating on the surface, generally including flexographic printing, gravure printing and screen printing. Because aluminum foil does not have absorbability, the surface adsorption capacity is also very poor, so the printing needs to rely on the volatilization of solvent in the coating to dry. In addition, aluminum foil is very soft, so it is necessary to ensure that the softness of the printing ink is consistent with aluminum foil after drying, and the ink film cracks, small pieces fall off or even the whole separation occur on party B. When printing, thin aluminum foil should be sent with a pallet or mounted on a liner before printing to prevent aluminum foil from breaking. After printing, aluminum foil is used as sales packaging materials, and its special gloss and ink match, with a good decorative effect of goods.
